Business overview
Shared balances, expense contributions and client payments. All numbers in USD.
Client revenue is tracked separately from who paid for consumables. Quotes are not counted as sales unless entered in Client Payments.
Shared expenses — 50/50 split
Record purchases paid personally by either partner. Every shared expense is split equally. Repayments settle balances without adding a second expense.

Total $0.00
Contribution percentages use purchases paid, before repayments. The partner balance accounts for repayments separately.

Partner repayments
No balance due.

Only enter expenses that are shared 50/50. Cash transfers between partners belong in Repayments, not Expenses.
Client accounts & payments
All payments belong to a client, not an individual project. Record an advance even before you create an order. The client's payments automatically cover their combined project charges; any excess is a credit for future work.
Saved Cost Calculator assets with a client name automatically appear below as project charges, initially at production cost. Use Edit price to record the amount agreed with the client. Advance payments remain separate at client level. You can also manually link an older asset below.

Client balances
Balance = total project charges − total payments. A negative balance is a client credit, not unpaid money. Names are matched without regard to capital letters.
| Client | Project charges | Payments received | Outstanding | Credit | Projects |

Project charges
Suggested price uses your target margin (35% by default). Agreed price is what the client actually owes. Actual margin is based on the agreed price, before other unallocated costs.

Amounts are applied at client level, not allocated to individual orders. Client payments are business receipts, not partner contributions.

3. Shared default rates
Any of the two approved users can update default rates. Saved quotes retain their original calculated cost and rate snapshot until edited.
Initial assumptions: $0.25 electricity + $0.22 depreciation + $0.10 maintenance = $0.57/hour. Consumables: $1.15 gloves + $1 IPA + $0.20 alcohol + $0.10 tissues = $2.45/batch. Resin: $30/L, but enter your slicer's actual resin cost above.
